its based on how fast a actual navy seal reloads thier weapon. You only get 5 magazines. If you pull out the mag with shots left in & slap a fresh mag in then you will cycle back to the mag with the leftover shots. Very tactical. You can actually count shots in a firefight & pick up weapons from dead players with the ammo they had left.
Socom is best played with no respawns. Now that I mention it, I'm gonna go play now & practice.
